Why he might be annoying
He rarely sung lead vocals.
He had a terrible stage presence.
His post Beach Boys band featured his two sons and old members of the Beach Boys' touring band.
His son Matt was in the Beach Boys for a time in the '80s.
He is a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation and was a follower of the Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.
His productions (specifically the 'MIU Album') were thin.
He recorded the 'California Recall Blues' for his website, a song about the California recall election (COME ON!).
He is the only original Beach Boy not related to the Wilsons.
Why he might not be annoying
His band is quite possibly the closest thing to the original Beach Boys out there.
He has aged much better than the other Beach Boys.
His voice has been favorably compared to Brian Wilson's.
His song 'Lady Lynda' was a massive hit in the United Kingdom.
He has raised an excellent musician and a good singer.
He is an environmentalist.
He lives on the California coast and also owns and rides several horses.
As he grows older, his voice barely changes.
