Head coach of the B.C. Lions (1983-87), Orlando Thunder (1991), Saskatchewan Roughriders (1991-93), Baltimore Stallions (1994-95), Toronto Argonauts (1990, 1996-98, 2008), Edmonton Eskimos (1999-2000) and Montreal Alouettes (2002-06)

Why he might be annoying:

He is known to be a control freak.
His tenure as Eskimos head coach was a disappointment.
He resigned prior to the 2001 season opener due to medical reasons, but many insiders have said he was forced out by Eskimos C.E.O. Hugh Campbell.
He is the CFL's nomadic head coach.
He is known to motivate his players through intimidation.
He was fined $5000 for criticizing the CFL for allowing Ricky Williams to play for the Toronto Argonauts.

He surpassed legendary coach Frank Clair as the CFL's all time winningest head coach.

He coached the WFL's Orlando Thunder during the 1991 season.

He became a Canadian citizen (2004).
He brought stability to the Alouettes head coaching position.
