Why The Tonight Show with Jay Leno might be annoying
After handing the Tonight Show to Leno, Johnny Carson never appeared on Leno’s show, but did appear on rival, David Letterman’s show.
His most frequent guests are Snoop Dogg, Dennis Miller, and the guys from American Chopper.
Jay Leno and Kevin Eubanks wrestled in a WCW event against Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff.
Jay makes too many jokes about Kevin Eubanks being bald and a pothead.
A lot Leno’s comedy bits rely solely on stupid people they find on the streets, rather than comedy writers.
Why The Tonight Show with Jay Leno might not be annoying
Jay went a full decade before ever needing a guest host.
Jay auctioned motorcycles, autographed by various celebrities, and given all of the money to disaster relief funds.
Jay announced he would retire from The Tonight Show in 2009, during its 50th anniversary, and be replaced by Conan O'Brien. The decision was announced five years in advance, so that NBC could keep Conan on their network, until Leno retired.
Arnold Schwarzenegger announced his candidacy for Governor of California on The Tonight Show.
Jay is considered one of the nicest guys in show business.
While he was on the Michael Jackson Trial, Jay was not allowed to tell Jackson-related jokes, but he was allowed to write them. Because of this, Leno would have a guest comedian come out to tell his Jacko jokes.
