Why L Word might be annoying
Mark's storyline is considered offensive and chauvinistic.
The show wrote off Lara, who was one of the most popular characters.
It is full of stereotypes and cliches.
Many critics have criticized them for not representing the lesbian community.
Scott Bairstow was originally cast as the character Tim, but was replaced by Eric Mabius soon after allegations of sexual assault on a minor were made against him in 2003.
There were many complaints about the lack of an opening sequence in the first season but many consider the second season opening sequence even worse.
Most of the storylines revolve around adultery.
All of the episode titles start with the letter 'l' and are usually a single word.
Leisha Hailey is the only open lesbian cast members yet her character is a bisexual.
Why L Word might not be annoying
The show was a huge step for lesbian visibility on television.
The cast is racially diverse to help represent the diversity of the lesbian community.
The writers responded to the complaints of there not being butch lesbians by making the character Shane more butch-like.
