Victim

The Resume

    (June 12, 1680-circa 1697)
    Born in Salem, Massachusetts
One of the most active accusers in the Salem Witch Trials (1692)

Why she might be annoying:

She, along with her cousin Betty Parris, began throwing random fits, convulsing and having hallucinations.
She then accused many different people of witchcraft which resulted in the executions of 19 innocent people.
She made over 41 accusations and was involved with 17 of the 19 executions.
She claimed to have seen Elizabeth Proctor drink blood and accused Martha Cory of trying to get her to sign the Devil’s book.
There is a legend that after the trials she ended up as a prostitute in Boston and died from a sexually transmitted disease.

Why she might not be annoying:

Arthur Miller exaggerated her role in 'The Crucible.'
Her symptoms were likely brought on by consuming poisoned rye crop.
She was only a child and probably didn’t understand the consequences of her actions.
She received a lot of attention which was usually not given to puritan women.
