Best known as Big Bird and Oscar the Grouch on ‘Sesame Street (1969- )’

Why he might be annoying:

His voice is high and effeminate (in fact, he sounds just like Big Bird).
He only performs two major Muppet characters Big Bird and Oscar.
He refused to discuss the Big Bird puppet on ‘Mr. Rogers’ Neighborhood.'
His first puppet was called ‘Picklepuss.’

Why he might not be annoying:

He is one of the only original puppeteers still working with the Muppet franchise.
He continues to do ‘Sesame Street,’ despite being over seventy.
Big Bird and Oscar are two of the show’s most popular characters.
The Big Bird costume is so heavy that he needs to be fed oxygen, and can only wear it for a few minutes at a time.
He refuses to be photographed partially in or out of the Big Bird costume, because he wants kids to always believe in the character.
He based his Oscar the Grouch character on a rude waiter at a restaurant.
Nancy Reagan was a bitch to him when he visited the White House.
He says his favorite part of the job is cheering up sick kids in the hospital.
