Why he might be annoying:

Although he and Tim Allen both voiced Buzz Lightyear, he claimed that Tim Allen was 'effeminate' and said 'I don't know why I let my kids listen to his shit around the house.'
He admires Oliver Reed for being a legendary drinker and claims that he was 'In the drinking prime of my life' in his 20's (as if that's a good thing).
His favorite football team is the Denver Broncos even though he was born in New Jersey.
He is typecast as a big lug.
The New Jersey Devils used to play scenes of his character 'Puddie' on Seinfeld on the Jumbotron because his character was a Devils fan.

Why he might not be annoying:

He rowed crew in college and had a 2.5 body fat percentage.
He does respect Tim Allen despite his comments.
He had to slip into an uncomfortable Tick suit filled with cold KY Jelly every day when filming 'The Tick.'
He is a married with four kids.
Despite his huge size, his father, a bone doctor, did not let him play contact sports as a kid.
He is described by many as a nice, down-to-earth guy who you can go to the bar and knock back a few beers with.
