Why he might be annoying
He knew how to manipulate the media and was able to have great success against Nixon during their debates.
He had many affairs behind his wife's back.
He may have won the Presidential election with tampering by the Chicago Democratic machine, although historians claim that it evened out with tampering pulled by Republicans in other areas of Illinois.
His assassination has sparked many conspiracy theories.
He appointed his brother, Bobby, Attorney General.
Why he might not be annoying
He was a strong proponent of civil rights.
He was extremely popular, partially due to his and his wife's good looks and youth.
His popularity and poll results rose after each debate with Richard Nixon.
During debates, he looked cool and composed, Nixon looked shifty, unkempt and sweaty.
Because of his charisma, the press dubbed his Presidential era 'Camelot.'
He stood up to the Russians during the Cuban Missile Crisis (October 1962).
He declared that America would send a Man to the Moon before the end of the decade (1961).
At the Berlin Wall, he made the impassioned speech 'Ich Bin Ein Berliner' which bolstered American ratings overseas.
He had a quick wit and was at ease during press conferences.
He graduated Harvard.
