Why she might be annoying:

She became pregnant with her two youngest children at the ages of 48 and 50, respectively.
After marrying John Edwards, she continued to use her maiden name for nearly twenty years.
She only changed her surname to honor her deceased son, not to 'take her husband's name.'
Each year, she celebrated her wedding anniversary with her husband at Wendy’s.
She remained on the campaign trail with her husband after being diagnosed with breast cancer instead of seeking immediate treatment.

Why she might not be annoying:

She endured the untimely death of her eldest son in a car accident when he was just sixteen years old (1996).
She co-founded a learning center with free computer labs and tutoring for underprivileged students in honor of her son.
She campaigned for breast cancer awareness and helped educate newly diagnosed breast cancer patients.
She was tactful and considerate when discussing her political views.
She earned her law degree from the University of North Carolina.
