Despite his legendary status as a comic book creator, his later works such as Devil Dinosaur and Phantom Force did not garner the same level of respect from fans.
He was often referred to as Jack 'King' Kirby.
He left Marvel Comics after a falling out with frequent collaborator Stan Lee.

He is considered by many to be the most influential, if not the greatest, comic book artist of all time.
He came up with the visual designs for many comic book characters that are still popular to this very day.
He rarely got credited in films and television shows when the characters he co-created were featured.
