    Appeared on Broadway in 'My Girl Friday' (1929)

Why she might be annoying:

    Her year of birth has been given anywhere from 1895 to 1907.
    She divorced Busby Berkeley after less than two years of marriage.
    She said the biggest disappointment of her career was failing to be cast as Belle Watling in 'Gone with the Wind.'

Why she might not be annoying:

    While performing in a musical in London, she became a favorite dance partner of the Prince of Wales.
    She became a successful real estate developer after leaving show biz.
    She contracted polio (1952) and was left unable to walk, but recovered after two years of physical therapy.
    She said the proudest moment of her life came after her grandson found a picture of her (with the Marx Brothers in 'A Day at the Races') in a book of film history and he showed it to his friends declaring 'That's my grandmother!'
