Why he might be annoying:

He went uncredited in most of his early movies, including 'The Wizard of Oz.'
In the 1942 movie 'Here We Go Again,' he was a body double for Edgar Bergen's dummy Charlie McCarthy.
Like fellow Munchkin Meinhardt Raabe, he portrayed Little Oscar for Oscar Mayer.
For TV commercials, he's been Buster Brown and both Mayor McCheese and the Hamburglar for McDonald's.
He didn't marry until he was 55 years old.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was given a significant part in 'The Wizard of Oz' because he had a singing and dancing background.
In 1957, he helped his friend and fellow actor Billy Barty establish the non-profit organization 'Little People of America.'
His more interesting TV guest appearances roles included a spaceman in 'The Beverly Hillbillies,' a confetti tosser on 'The Gong Show,' and 'The Yada Yada' episode of 'Seinfeld.'
He still enjoys going to 'Wizard of Oz' conventions and was present when the Munchkins collectively got a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2007.
When Raabe died in 2010, he became the last Munchkin left who had a major singing role in 'The Wizard of Oz.'
He said the best part of his 'Oz' experience was 'meeting all the little people from all over the world. Not only the U.S. but from all over. A few of them came from Texas. You'd never believe that. I always thought only big, tall men came from Texas and there they had about 10 little guys from Texas - I couldn't believe it.'
