Why they might be annoying
For years, the band could not record under its own name because Lowe and Edmunds were signed to different record labels.
Once they were finally able to record as Rockpile, a dispute with their manager triggered the band's break-up after only one album.
Edmunds noted of the band's drinking, 'It was a party whenever we were in the studio. I have great memories of making records with Rockpile as well as some horrible hangovers.'
Why they might not be annoying
They performed with Robert Plant at the Concerts for the People of Kampuchea (December 29, 1979).
After their break-up, Williams joined Dire Straits (1982-89).
Lowe commented, 'We got together for fun, and when the fun had all been had we packed it in.'
