Why she might be annoying:

    She was by all accounts, high-spirited, hot-tempered and strong-willed.
    She wanted to be a woman of society, a real lady, and spent a lot of time and money trying to do it.
    There are many tall tales concerning her life, which she didn't bother to correct.
    When she was asked why she didn't correct an outlandish story in the paper she said, 'It's a damn good story, and I don't care what the newspapers say about me, just so they say something.'
    She ran, unsuccessfully, for the U.S. Senate (1914).

Why she might not be annoying:

    She took Horace Geeley's advice to seek her fortune by going west.
    She was never called Molly in her lifetime.
    A Broadway musical was made about her life, 'The Unsinkable Molly Brown' and her character appeared in the Broadway show 'Titanic.'
    She used her money and fame on behalf of a variety of causes, including women's suffrage and local Catholic charities.
