Why he might be annoying
He was a Hoffman Estates, Illinois police officer before turning to a life of crime.
Once his wife discovered he was a bank robber, she helped him with his last few robberies.
Because of his law enforcement background, he knew what cops would be looking for at crime scenes and covered his tracks well.
He was spotted during his eighth robbery and was captured after his escape vehicle crashed.
His wife Jill was with him at the time, and rather than be taken into custody, she put a bullet in her head.
He was charged with eight armed bank robberies and attempted murder of a cop.
He somehow smuggled a handcuff key and during a prison transfer with eight other cons he freed himself, disarmed a guard, killed him and one other before collapsing from a gunshot wound.
Why he might not be annoying
During his tenure as a cop he received several letters of commendation.
He opened a used book store, but when the business failed he was distraught over how he could support his wife's 'expensive lifestyle.'
