    Co-hosted 'Inside the NFL' (1980-2001)

Why he might be annoying:

    NFL scouts considered him too small to play pro football.
    He was not chosen until the 13th round of the AFL draft.
    He once told coach Don Shula to 'go fuck yourself.'
    As an executive for United States Tobacco, he insisted that chewing tobacco did not cause oral cancer.

Why he might not be annoying:

    He was a leader of the Dolphins' vaunted 'No Name Defense.'
    He earned a law degree while playing with the Patriots.
    During his brief career as a sports agent, George Steinbrenner called him the toughest negotiator he ever faced.
    His son Marc became a quadriplegic after suffering a spinal cord injury while making a tackle for the Citadel (1985).
    He co-founded the Miami Project to Cure Paralysis and raised over $450 million in donations.
    Late in life, he suffered CTE (chronic traumatic encephalopathy)-related dementia.
    He donated his brain for CTE research.
