Why he might be annoying:

    He smoked cigars.
He too often appeared in exploitation movies.
He gave up the titular lead role of the TV show 'Dan August' to Burt Reynolds and ended up regretting it.
He appeared naked for the June 1974 issue of Playgirl magazine.
He and wife Lynda Day George undertook legal action to have Lynda's son from a previous marriage declared Christopher's biological son.
    He died too young.
After his death, his wife's acting career diminished to nothing.
Neither of the two TV shows he was a regular on lasted too long.

Why he might not be annoying:

His parents were immigrants from Greece.
Though he dropped out of high school to join the Marines, he resumed his education after military duty.
He was briefly a private investigator in real life.
While filming a segment of 'The Rat Patrol,' he was badly hurt in a jeep accident that gave him a cardiac contusion (1967).
It is believed that the accident contributed to his fatal heart attack years later.
He and Lynda Day George often appeared together in movies and TV shows.
He was handsome yet not a pretty boy.
He often appeared on religious TV during the last years of his life.
    He was Vanna White's uncle.
His brother Nick became a successful fashion photographer.
He became buddies with John Wayne.
At one point, he became the first TV actor to sell each and every one of his prospective pilots.
He went to Vietnam as part of a USO tour and was even pinned down by the Viet Cong(1967).
He, Lynda, and some other actors got a wounded, uncommunicative soldier to speak(1967).
Though Lynda was devastated by his death, she was able to move on with her life and eventually remarried.
His movie 'City of the Living Dead' was directed by the legendary Lucio Fulci.
