    Born in Townsend, Tennessee
    Birth name is Garrard Sliger Ramsey
    Attended the College of William and Mary
    Drafted 124th overall by the Chicago Cardinals in the 1943 NFL Draft
    Guard for the Chicago Cardinals (1946-1951)
    Defensive coach for the Chicago Cardinals (1951), Detroit Lions (1952-1959) and the Pittsburgh Steelers (1962-1964)
    Head coach for the Buffalo Bills (1960-1961)
    Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame (1978)

Why he might be annoying:

    He became a player-coach as the Cardinals went 3-9 in the 1951 season.
    Despite coaching the Bills with good defense, the team went 11-16-1 under him.
    He was fired as the Bills' head coach after two years with the team.
    Despite being reunited with head coach Buddy Parker in Pittsburgh, he failed to match the same success just like he had in Detroit.
    His final coaching year was a disappointment.

    He served in the Navy in World War II.
    He was the first Bills head coach in team history.
    He established a tactic of blitzing linebackers as he was the first coach to do so.
    He was instrumental in the development of the 4-3 defense.
    He was a member of the one NFL Championship winning Cardinals team (1947) as a player and three NFL Championship winning Lions teams (1952-1953 and 1957) as a coach.
    Some players from the Bills were loyal to him.
