The Resume

    (June 4, 1993- )

Birth name is Adam Mohsin Yehya Saleh
    New York-based YouTube personality, rapper
Created the 'TrueStoryASA' channel, in 2012
Frequently collaborates with friends Sheikh Akbar and Abdullah Ghuman, on videos
Channel consists mostly of Vlogs, comedy sketches, pranks, and parody songs
Channels boast a collective 3 million followers/subscribers as of March 2017
Videos have accumulated up to 17 million views as of March 2017
Released singles 'Diamond Girl,' 'Tears,' 'Survivor,' and 'Tomorrow's Another Day'
Posted videos on social media claiming to have been forcibly removed from a Delta Air Lines flight at Heathrow Airport for speaking Arabic during a call to his mother (Dec. 21, 2016); national outrage resulted in the creation of the hashtag #BoycottDelta
    Twitter handle is @omgadamsaleh

Why he might be annoying:

He appeared in a low-budget buddy comedy called 'American Sharia.'
He's a 9/11 truther who mocks the event on social media/videos.
He abandoned his law studies at John Jay College to pursue a career as a 'YouTube personality.'
His pranks tend to revolve around being a Muslim on a plane (e.g. 'Counting Down in Arabic on a Plane in America Experiment [on 9/11]').
He regularly 'cries wolf' about experiencing Islamaphobia, but his videos usually center on his finding ways to humiliate/mock urban blacks.
His Twitter feed is jammed with pro-PLO content (including several - deleted - tweets expressing support for the Boston Marathon bombers).
The Smoking Gun exposed a 2014 video he had posted claiming to demonstrate anti-Muslim 'stop-and-frisk' bigotry by police officers as 'an obvious hoax,' prompting even CAIR to demand an apology.
He filmed a 'prank' in which he claimed to have fit himself into a tiny suitcase, which was then processed in the baggage hold on a Tigerair plane and transported from Melbourne to Sydney.
When their initial comment was pulled from the video, Tiger Air released security footage showing his boarding the plane, also emphasizing the impossibility of his stunt (the baggage weight would have tipped off TSA officials, at air temperature he could have frozen to death, etc.). They requested he pull the video, but as of March 2017, its still on his official channel.
He made a scene after being ejected from a New York bound flight from London, calling it a ‘race issue’ over his speaking Arabic (many asserted it to have been a prank gone wrong, but they claimed it was ‘real as it gets’).
Several passengers went on record contradicting his version of events, recounting that he and his friend had stood up with their fists in the air shouting in Arabic on four separate occasions (some claimed that he got combative when asked to stop by nervous customers).

Why he might not be annoying:

He is the child of Yemeni immigrants.
Three of his siblings died in infancy, either shortly after or during childbirth.
He has been likened to a male version of Lilly Singh (IISuperwomanII).
He claims to have been bullied in high school over his Muslim heritage.
The bullying got to be so bad that he allegedly started to tell people that his was Hispanic to avoid being profiled.
He later came to embrace his Muslim identity after making a trip to Mecca, in his senior year of High School, for Umrah.
He made it onto The Ellen Show's 'Dance Dare' segment on two separate occasions.
His first major viral video, 'Ferrari Pickup Prank,' registered over 15 million views (2013).
He ranked #9 in Fun Over Easy's 'Top Ten Richest YouTube VLoggers of 2016' listing.
Some of his 'social experiment' videos make valid points about American societal attitudes toward Muslims (others are just wholesome interactions between himself and his little sister).
