Why he might not be annoying
He pioneered the time-freeze effect that was made popular by the bullet-dodging scene in 'The Matrix.'
His commercial for Levi's, entitled 'Drugstore' is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records for winning more awards than any other commercial in television history. It features a man wearing Levi's who buys a condom at a local drugstore and puts it in the small fifth pocket. Later, he goes to pick up his date at her house and is greeted by her father, the man who sold him the condom.
He credits Björk for being the thought leader in their collaborations.
He said about Kirsten Dunst, who was cast in his 'Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)': 'I would work with her again in a second. I love her so much, she's a great actress.'
His grandfather invented the 'Clavioline' organ (1949), which had been most famously used in the Beatles' song 'Baby You're a Rich Man.'
He used stop-frame animation to move the Jack and Meg White replica Legos in The White Stripes' music video 'Fell In Love With a Girl.'
