U.S. Senator

The Resume

    (May 22, 1957- )
    Born in Ketchikan, Alaska
    Republican Senator of Alaska (2002-)

Why she might be annoying:

She received a nice deal on property by the Kenai River and failed to disclose it in her annual financial disclosures.
She bought the land from developers tied to scandalous Senator Ted Stevens.
Although she says she is pro-choice her record on abortion is mixed.
She and Republican opponent Joe Miller clashed over her write-in vote campaign, including Miller challenging any ballot which had her name misspelled. She said Miller had all of the votes he received counted, and she wanted all of her votes counted as well (November 11, 2010).

Why she might not be annoying:

She was the first woman senator for Alaska.
She is the first U.S. Senator to have been born in Alaska.
She supports gun rights and stem cell research.
After Sarah Palin backed Tea Party candidate Joe Miller defeated her in the Republican primary, she switched her affiliation and ran for Senate as an Independent (2010).
