Why he might be annoying:

He was often seen on stage holding beer and shouting profanity.
He smoked pot, thus the nickname 'Dimebag.'
His brother called him 'Dime.'
He was nicknamed Diamond.
He had a CFH tattoo (Cowboy From Hell).

Why he might not be annoying:

He was consider one of, if not the, greatest metal guitarists.
His brother, drummer, Vincent Abbott, formed Damageplan after Pantera broke up.
Damageplan was the Abbott's brothers willingness to continue the Pantera trash metal tradition for their fans.
A crazed man shot him dead as he began to perform in Columbus, Ohio. The guy then turned the gun on the crowd and killed three fans, until he was shot down by the cops.
He has his own signature Washburn guitar.
