He withdrew $30 million dollars of support from the University of Oregon after the school joined a student watchdog group that monitors international factory conditions.
He donated $25,000 to Tonya Harding's legal defense fund. Some believe that it was to spite Nancy Kerrigan sponsor Reebok.
He embarrassed himself in the Michael Moore film 'The Big One.' He then demanded that his scenes be cut from the movie.
He fired animator Will Vinton from his own company after becoming majority shareholder.
He has a Nike 'swoosh' tattoo on his left calf.
Being interested in Japanese culture, he makes people remove their shoes before entering his office.

He says that shoe designers should focus on authenticity and function instead of fashion.
He contributes a lot of money to his alma mater, the University of Oregon.
He said he enjoys: 'Tennis, running, and golf: depending on whether I want to abuse my elbow, my knees, or my emotions.'
He was named 'The Most Powerful Man in Sports' by 'The Sporting News' (1992).
