He earned the ire of many 'Bewitched' fans for replacing Dick York.
Ironically, he was offered the part of Darren Stephens first but turned it down due to a contract with Universal.
He acted in a lot of truly bad films.
He collected Mexican art.

Why he might not be annoying:

He was openly gay and convinced Elizabeth Montgomery to march with him in a pride parade in 1992.
His primary reason for admitting he was gay to be a role model to other gays. He felt it was important to make gay issues public to stem the tide of rising suicides among gays.
After false reports he was dying of AIDS, he admitted to his homosexually but also said he did NOT have AIDS.
His mother was actress Ruth McNaughton.
He did not mind doing labor, he was a ditch digger prior to entering acting.
He was involved with Special Olympics and ending world hunger.
