Why he might be annoying:

He recorded and released an unsuccessful hip-hop CD.
He starred alongside his father in the turkey 'Surf Ninjas.'
Most of his early roles were only because of his father's (Ernie Reyes Sr.) involvement in the films.
Most of his acting roles are in horrible kids-kung fu movies.

Why he might not be annoying:

Despite never really making it big as a Hollywood martial arts/action star, he has stuck with his career nonetheless.
Apart from being a martial arts actor, he is a competent dramatic actor.
He does most of the stunt-coordination on the films he stars in.
Despite the small filmography, he has already worked opposite such stars as Jackie Chan, Chris Rock, Christopher Walken, Chazz Palminteri, Rod Steiger, The Rock and Seann William Scott.
He holds a 4th Dan Black Belt in Tae-Kwon Do.
He trained and competed as a light welter weight Muay Tai kickboxer.
