Why he might be annoying
He got the nickname 'Pee Wee' from being a champion marbles player as a youth.
He led the league with 47 errors (1941).
He and Elston Howard share the record for playing on the most losing World Series teams with six each.
His initial reaction to the Dodgers signing Jackie Robinson was 'You gotta be kidding. They wouldn't sign a black man.'
Why he might not be annoying
He was married to Dottie Walton for 57 years until his death.
He served with the Navy in the Pacific theater during World War II.
He publicly supported Robinson, saying 'It didn't matter to me if he was black or green, he had a right to be there.'
Pitcher Joe Black said, 'When Pee Wee reached out to Jackie, all of us in the Negro League smiled and said it was the first time that a white guy had accepted us.... With Pee Wee it was number one on his uniform and number one in our hearts.'
