Prior to appearing in 'Goldfinger,' he had absolutely no acting experience (well, if you don't count the wrestling).
He appeared in several odd cough syrup commercials, where he would go berserk and destroy things.

He remains one of James Bond's most famous foes.
He joined the Army during WW II, but never saw combat.
