Why he might be annoying:

He enjoyed playing violin, but was not too good at it.
A comedian once said: 'Henny's the only guy who, when he opens his violin case, the audience hopes he's got a machine gun in there.'

His grandson, Larry Kelly, ran one of the earliest computer bulletin boards in New York City.
His jokes were very short, usually only one line.
He is famous for saying 'Take my wife ... please!'
He was married to the same woman, Sadie Cohen, until her death, for almost 60 years (1928-87).
He was part of NY Telephone Company's Dial-a-Joke, and got three million calls in a single month (1974).
