Why he might be annoying:

He was primarily used as a backup goalie in the professional ranks.
His nickname 'Chico' was a take on the character made famous by Freddie Prinze.
He caused a minor controversy by defecting to the American national team roster at the 1980 Canada Cup after playing for the Canadian team in the previous tournament.
He was traded to the lowly Colorado Rockies a year after helping the Islanders win their first Stanley Cup.
He spent the later stages of his career on dreadful Rockies/Devils teams.

He backstopped the Islanders to two series comebacks following 3-0 deficits (1975).
He never posted a record below 500 during his stint with the Islanders.
