Why he might be annoying:

    He said 'Things don't come to mind readily all of a sudden, like pulling things out of the air. You have to get your inspiration from somewhere and usually you get it from reading something else.'
    He spent most of his free time studying at the New York Public Library.
    His experiments were one failure after another.
    Principles of electrophotography were called 'the invention nobody wanted.'

Why he might not be annoying:

    When he was one, his father developed severe tuberculosis throwing the familty into poverty.
    He graduated college with a degree in Physics (1930).
    Being a lawyer in a patent office he wanted a way to copy patents so he invented the first 'dry-copy' system (1938).
    Xerox Corporation purchased rights to his xerographic invention (1950).
    He was inducted into the National Inventors Hall of Fame (1981).
