He weighed 1400 pounds.
He had a 9'11 waist.
His typical daily snack included 12 donuts, 10 bags of potato chips, two giant pizzas, and half a cake.
He was fat his whole life.
He was given diet pills as a child, which often got him sick.
He had OCD.
As a child, he ate his food on separate plates, so that they don't touch.
He feared that if they touched they would poison him.
He washed his hands compulsively as a child.
At age 13, he weighed more than 300 pounds.
After he suffered injuries from a bad fall at 13, he was bedridden for several months, which gave him the idea that it would 'be easier just to stay in bed.'
At about age 16, he told his mother that his legs could no longer support his weight.
He developed agoraphobia (a fear of the outside world).
He had Cherokee braids.
He only defecated once a month.
He lost 400 pounds, but gained most of it back before his death (he really let himself go).
Why he might not be annoying
He cared a lot about his family.
His father left when he was an infant.
At age 15, he saw his best friend die in a burning building.
He was not embarrassed by his weight.
He may have had a digesting disorder.
When he was returning to his bed from the bathroom, he slipped and was trapped for hours until rescue workers came.
Dick Gregory, a nutritionist, helped Hudson lose 400 pounds after his fall, and he was wide enough to just barely leave the house.
