He was an infamous womanizer, and married three times.
He was regarded as a manipulator and liar.
He had more power over Austria's foreign policy than even the Emperor.
He was pro-Napoleon during the years the 'Little General' was successfully conquering Europe.
He sought to return Europe to rule by monarchy, and put down all democratic reform.
Seeing education as a dangerous spreader of liberal ideas, he censored what professors could teach.
He tried to squash the Greek rebellion against Turkish rule.
Why he might not be annoying
A type of wine is named after him.
He truly believed that representative democracies were dangerous and tyrannical.
He advocated balancing the European powers so that none was overly dominating.
He turned against Napoleon after realizing peace with him was impossible.
He lost his power during the Austrian Revolution of 1848, when he was forced to resign.
